Early Spring

The record warm February in NC has a downside. Our early blooms are three to four weeks ahead of normal and thus subject to being damaged by hard freezes. We just had several hard freeze nights in a row. This morning I inspected our large maple tree to see what the damage might be. Hard to tell at this point.

Also, the squirrels are enjoying feasting on the early blooms.
