Town of Chapel Hill Park Maintenance
I spent two days photographing a park maintenance team remove a large tree that had been struck by lightening years earlier. The tree was difficult to access without causing damage to the surrounding park trees. The crew did a masterful job under difficult circumstances. Not to mention that the heat index was a 100+ during the two days it took to complete the job.
After seeing this crew at work up close, I will never take for granted what these guys do every single day in Chapel Hill!
A sad note. The day after this tree removal an arborist at the NC Zoo fell 30' to his death during a safety training exercise. All these workers are well aware of the dangers they face daily.
